Nursery plastics now easily recycled!

Recycling bin for nursery plasticsKeep the plants and recycle those pots! Garden Centers of Colorado and their participating members have launched a program for plant buyers to allow drop-off of various gardening products to be recycled instead of adding them to your garbage.

Products that can be accepted include any pot that annuals, perennials, trees or shrubs are grown in, carrying trays, 4 and 6 packs, hanging baskets, flats, and clean shrink wrap or greenhouse plastic. They are currently unable to accept soil & mulch bags, glass, or any trash. The recycled products are crushed, baled and sent to manufacturers to make into new landscape products, toys and bumpers. Below is a list of participating members where you can drop off your items to be recycled:
